CardioPharmaGENET at the COST Communication Workshop and Scientific Exchange in Brussels, March 2026
Productive discussions were held in Brussels within the framework of CardioPharmaGENET (CA24165), reflecting the Action’s continued commitment to strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration at the interface of cardiovascular challenges and translational precision medicine.
The activities in Brussels, attended by SCC dr. Theodora Katsila, combined scientific exchange and capacity-building perspectives, highlighting the importance of effective communication and coordinated dissemination within European research networks.
A key highlight was the participation in the COST Communication Workshop, which provided valuable insights into current practices, challenges, and future directions in science communication across COST Actions. The workshop served as an important platform to evaluate existing support mechanisms and identify areas for improvement in order to better equip Science Communication Coordinators and the broader research community.
The discussions emphasized how the landscape of scientific communication has evolved over the past decade, particularly through the expansion of digital platforms and communication channels. While these developments offer significant opportunities for dissemination and outreach, they also introduce challenges in terms of coordination, visibility, and strategic communication.
CardioPharmaGENET recognizes the importance of continuous improvement in these areas and values the opportunity to engage with COST Association initiatives aimed at strengthening communication capacity across networks.
Within this context, WG5 activities continue to play a central role in ensuring effective dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and visibility of the Action’s scientific and translational outputs across Europe.
